Fishdom is a puzzle game developed and published by Playrix in 2008.[1] Seven sequels to the game were released: Fishdom H2O: Hidden Odyssey, a hidden object spin-off of the title, in April 2009,[2]Fishdom: Spooky Splash, a Halloween-themed match-3 sequel to the franchise, in October 2009,[3]Fishdom Frosty Splash, a Christmas themed installment of the original game, and Fishdom: Harvest Splash, a farm-themed match-3 installment of the original game. In May 2010, Fishdom 2 was released, with improved graphics and new levels.[4] All three of the holiday themed Fishdom games were put together into one game in September 2010, called Fishdom: Seasons Under the Sea, however it does not contain any new content. A new game release called Fishdom 3 is launched in June 2014, because of the game's series' birthday. Another hidden object spinoff called Aquascapes is released in August 2014.

Gameplay[edit]
The objective of the game is to fix up a virtual aquarium. Players need money (coins or cash) to buy fish, accessories and comfort items for their tank earning it while completing match-3 levels (or Hidden Object levels in Fishdom H20: Hidden Odyssey and Aquascapes).
In the match-three games, players need to create matches of three or more in a row by clicking on adjacent pieces to swap them around, and make matches over the golden tiles to collect them. The level is over when all of the golden tiles are earned. Some tiles are silver, and these squares must be matched over twice to get cleared. A locked tile, indicated by a chain across it, can only be freed by matching it with other available tiles. Some tiles are double-locked, to break the chains one needs to match them twice. Bonus points are given when more than three identical pieces are formed.

One can earn a variety of explosive power-ups when five or more tiles are matched simultaneously. To use a power-up players need to double-click on it or swap it with any other tile. Firecrackers destroy everything within a one tile radius, and appear as a result of five or more matching, falling tiles. Depth bombs are earned by matching five tiles, and knock out everything in a two tile radius, while dynamite charges can clear out everything in a three tile radius, and are earned by making a match of more than six tiles. Warheads can be earned by matching seven or more tiles. The most powerful power-up is the lightning bonus, which is earned by using seven explosives on a game level.
In timed mode, the game is timed, as shown by the bar on the right. In relaxed mode, the game is not timed.

I own the game and just read some of the negative reviews. People, read the directions! All you have to do is visit options, and click on/off the features you want to keep in relaxation mode! If you run out of time, turn off the timer; if you can't beat the bombs or the oil, turn them off. Relaxation mode, is difficulty mode with a different name! This is a great match 3 with an Aquarium mode that is similar to zombie garden in Plants vs. Build points any number of ways thru the game, or bonus section.
There are 3 Bonuses in this game:1. Line Bonus = a token is in a bubble and small arrows show the direction of its effect when you make a match with it. You get them when you match 4.2. Lightning = a circle (or a triangle) with sparkles indicating electricity. You get it when you match 5 in a row or column. So the fifth goes in the middle.3. Bomb = when the piece is glowing.
You create a bomb by matching 5 tiles in a L-shape (e.g. 2 up, 2 across, then you switch in the corner piece to explode the tiles - you'll be left with a bomb). Each level have symbols indicating what you have to achieve to complete the level. When you see 2 symbols together with a +-mark, it means, that you have to drag those on top of each other, therefore they have to be side by side and they do not need to be of same kind of figurines. The number in front of the symbol tells how many times you have to do it.E.g. In level 158 you have to create 7 single bombs (and also explode them) and 1 double bomb. And in level 160 you have to create 1) a lightning and a line bonus next to each other, so you can drag them on top of each other. This is required only once.
2) The same with a line bonus and a bomb. This you have to do twice.

3) You have to drag two line bonuses on top of each other, three times. I understand these instructions and I finally managed to get two bombs (different symbols) side by side. I exploded both at the same time and it still did not work. I understand the 3 Bonuses. What I don't understand is 'you have to drag the bombs side by side.'
My frustration level has reached such a peak that I am angry that Playrix has not included instructions on how this is to be done. I bought the game without doing a trial as every other Playrix game I have is excellent. Grrr!!Can someone do a You Tube showing how this is to be accomplished?Thanks.Victoria. I simply tried to explain, that if you manage to get 2 bombs side by side, drag them on top of each other! So, do not explode them, but drag them on top of each other!!This is best I can do. I'm sorry if I mislead you. Tentacle wrote:But HOW did you manage to play 158?
I've been playing it for days with the timer off and even if I do get two bombs something else sets them off before I can get them to each other.I'm really fed up and tired of it, playing the same thing over and over again without result. I do wish I could skip it.I agree with all the remarks from people on the difficulty (impossibility?) of level 158. I.have.
been able to drag the bombs on top of each other and still it is not counted as a double bomb. I've tried every which way possible and NO double bomb.I've been stuck at this level for several days, and frankly, I'm in agreement on not ever purchasing another Fishdom game if they turn out to be impossible to play.
Either that, or there's a glitch in a great many people's games because I'm not the only one who has not been able to get a double bomb by dragging/dropping them on top of each other. (As many have said in the 'How to Make a Double Bomb' thread - which turns out to also be of no help, sadly). I love Fishdom games, but this one was a big waste of money.
